# Lights · Rhino

In Rhino, D5 Lite reads native Rhino lights and does not provide a separate Lite light panel. You continue to create and edit lights in Rhino; Lite reads them and shows the corresponding render result.

### Light Types

| Rhino light       | Lite render result |
| ----------------- | ------------------ |
| Point Light       | Point Light        |
| Spotlight         | Spot Light         |
| Linear light      | Strip Light        |
| Rectangular light | Rectangle Light    |

Rhino's directional (parallel) light is not read as a Lite light.

### Reading and Editing

Lite reads the position, orientation, color, intensity, angle, and size of Rhino lights; the Spot Light direction follows the light direction in Rhino. After you adjust a light in Rhino, the Lite render updates with the sync.<br>

### Sync to D5 Render

Rhino lights can move into D5 Render via Live Sync for further refinement.
