<figure><img src="/files/ysQL7VaIjCIiSzLj1R1e" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

In the advanced options for the **Displacement material height map**, a new **Height Field Tracing** algorithm has been added alongside the existing Subdivision Displacement.

#### **Applicable Scenarios**

* Suitable for material scenarios that require the presentation of surface irregularities and details such as brickwork, wood grain, and weaving.
* Especially in large, performance-sensitive scenarios, it can serve as a lightweight alternative to subdivision replacement.
